There are various ways to visit Offy as part of an art residency. Currently, the open call is closed, but the idea is to offer regular opportunities for artists and cultural professionals from all over to apply for a residency in the future.
We are looking for collaborators to help organize the Offy offspace.

Here is the first open call for an art residency, as it was posted on the Visarte website in November 2025. Several artists and cultural professionals responded to this first open call. The band "Ottotto" then completed the very first art residency at Offy from December 26th to January 3rd. With a spectacular New Year's Eve event featuring numerous concerts, the three musicians Camille, Lennart, and Tia have provided a fantastic first enrichment for offy as part of the residencies. Many thanks! And hopefully, more such wonderful people will find their way to offy through the residencies program.

OFFY the offspace is a space in Bern, Switzerland for experimental art and sound. The space itself is a multifunctional 140m2 room wich changes organically with time and peoples projects.
Since this month, october 2025, we started a new chapter and started organizing monthly public happenings. Our base to start are the weekly open experimental jams, every tuesday evening from 6-9 p.m.
The idea is to slowly grow and try new experimental formats. We love the beauty of mistake culture, experimenting together, fail together and learn from this process together. We also love the idea of deconstruct the standarts of capititalistic entertainment culture, like its going everywhere: artists are on stage or on the white walls and the guests are consuming. With some formats we try to build a safer and creative and inspiring lowtreshhold atmosphere, so everybody who wants, can participate easily. Professionals deconstruct their myth of genius and open the field for curious people, which never had the chance to become professionals, but are motivated to participate creatively. A playful, low-treshhold, sensitive and lively atmosphere is our goal in these formats.
With this OPEN CALL we expand the activities of OFFY.
We invite any artists who feel connected to our ideas and would like to visit us to work together on the field of experimental art and sound.
To start this new chapter in a sensitive and relaxed way, we can offer a short term residency from one week up to one month. Artists can apply solo or in groups and can stay and live at the OFFY during the residency. The idea is, that you would have your main idea, reserche, project, performance etc. on which you could work freely and there would be the weekly OPEN EXPERIMENTAL JAMS which would take place as well during your stay on every tuesday evening from 6-9 p.m. and which would be a part of your stay. We are open for ANY kind of participation and we dont want to give examples, because we want to open this field for new ideas.
During your residency we can work together to organize a happening, exhibition or any kind of event for the presentation of your work which is created during your stay at OFFY.
Residency is for free.
